Sierra Leone Regional Emergency Solar Power Intervention Project

Project Overview
The Sierra Leone Regional Emergency Solar Power Intervention Project (RESPITE) combines 40MW of solar PV capacity across two solar parks with 35MWh of battery energy storage supplied by Sungrow. The project includes a 30MW solar plant in Newton and a 10MW solar plant in Lungi, using eight Sungrow PowerTitan battery storage systems. Supported by The World Bank Group, the project aims to improve renewable energy integration, grid reliability, and electricity access in Sierra Leone.
