Eternalplanet Energy Co., Ltd.

Eternalplanet, founded in 2021, is a residential energy storage brand under Canadian Solar Inc. It develops and manufactures integrated solutions that help households store solar electricity, maintain power during outages and manage energy use. The company’s main product is EP Cube, a home battery and energy management system first launched in 2022. EP Cube combines battery storage, a hybrid inverter and energy management functions in a modular system. Households can expand storage capacity by adding battery modules, while operating modes support backup power, solar self-consumption and time-of-use electricity management. Eternalplanet’s work therefore spans both storage hardware and the software used to control how energy is used in the home. Eternalplanet has its own design, research and development, manufacturing and global service capabilities. EP Cube is present in the United States, Canada, Japan, Australia, several European markets and South Africa, supported by local partners and installers. The company has publicly listed offices in the United States, the United Kingdom, China and Japan. Beyond individual homes, Eternalplanet is working to connect residential batteries with wider energy systems. In 2025, Canadian Solar announced a partnership with EnergyHub to integrate EP Cube with its distributed energy resource management platform, enabling participation in virtual power plant programs. EP Cube has also received the 2025 iF Design Award and a Gold award at the 2025 MUSE Design Awards.
